Imagine we have a time machine. Next, I would ask that you remember or
think of your Grandparents or Great Grandparents. The "Greatest
Generation". For a few moments, think about their world view and how
they felt about their country. I know, some of you think I am
certifiable, but I truly believe in the next 18 months your world is
going to be turned upside down. Please bear with me.
Now, we
take the time machine back 50 or 60 years to tell them what life is
like in 2009. 1st, we thank them for saving the world in the 40's. They
ask how the U.S. turned out. You look them in the eye and explain that
by 2009, over 45,000,000 unborn babies had been legally terminated,
"Why" they ask. You say that over 90% were terminated because the child
was going to be inconvenient. they ask how in God's name that it became
legal. "well, left leaning judges changed the law and the Democratic
party kept defending it and making it easier to have done. It didn't
take long until it was a form of birth control." "Didn't anyone try to
stop it?" they reply. "Well, in 2003, a "New York Times" poll showed
that 60% of Americans were opposed to abortion on demand and wanted
tighter restrictions, but nothing came of it." Who was responsible for
this?" they ask. "Well, it was the Democrats. They call it pro-choice.
But they have done other things to make our live better also.
"They
will soon own a % of Chrysler and G.M." "The car companies?" they ask.
"Yeah, they became insolvent because the Government enforced CAFE
standards that made cars more expensive. Plus, they were extorted out
of billions of $$ by unions to pay workers that both worked and those
that did not." "You mean they paid folks not to work?" "Yeah that was
part of the deal. Plus they continued paying them almost as much when
they retired." "Who supported the unions that gave them so much power?"
"Well, that was the Democrats. But the Democrats got a lot of votes for
that support."
Then you tell them that the banks are in trouble
too. "Why?" they ask. "In the late 90's, the government decided that
low income folks didn't own enough homes, so they forced the banks to
relax their lending rules. You didn't need money down, credit history
should not be used, and the banks needed to loan more that the house
was worth." "Who on God... Read More's green earth was going to back
these loans?" "The Fed did through a couple of companies they
controlled named Freddie and Fannie." " Whose harebrained idea was
that?" "It kinda started with Carter, then was pushed hard by Clinton."
"What party did they belong to?" "They were both Democrats."
"Well,
there is one more thing. In the 70's, they warned us about a coming ice
age. then, in the 80's, 90's and into the new century they warned us of
global warming. Then when it started getting cooler between 2000 and
2009, they called it man made climate change." "What does it mean?"
"Well, CO2 is now a toxin, the government says so." "The gas plants use
to make oxygen?" "Yeah, that's it, we have to tax it now. But the
President says we will have a cleaner world and that our energy cost
will only go up 50% to 200%."
"So you see, America is not such a
bad place." "Wait a minute, who came up with the new tax on everyone
that uses energy?" "That would be the Democrats.""How do they get away
with so much?" "The big three networks support them through the
information broadcast in the news, and people believe them. That's how
in 2008, we elected a President with a friend that killed policeman
with his bombs, that went to a church that promoted racism and anti-
Americanism, and that had virtually no experience in national
government." At this point, Grandpa went to Canada.
